Juan Peppy Sailor

Son of Juan the Sailor

“Pepper” is a 2007 chestnut roan stallion. He is a kind, quiet stallion who passes his disposition onto his foals. He is 86% foundation and is registered with the NFQHA. He is also five panel NN and has been colour tested ee AA Rn/rn. He will throw roan 50% of the time.

Pepper was trained in reining but sadly was never shown due to the previous owner’s unexpected health issues.

Pepper is a son of “Juan the Sailor”.  Juan the Sailor was bred by the Hall of Fame inductee, Bob Loomis. He is a NRHA money earner, AQHA point earner and a proven sire of reining, barrel racing, and rope horses. He has produced NRHA money earners with LTE of over $27,000 as well as NRCHA money earners. His maternal grandfoals have LTE of over $71,700 in NRHA money.

Juan the Sailor is a son of Topsail Cody, a NRHA Hall of Fame horse and was the 4th ever Million Dollar Sire. He is one of the NRHA’s all-time leading maternal grandsires. He is the sire of multiple NRHA Hall of Fame horses including Cee Blair Sailor who in 1995 was the youngest horse ever inducted and Topsail Whiz who is the NRHA’s only 12 Million Dollar sire and is the NRHA’s #1 All Time Leading Sire. The Cody horses are well known for their willing and kind personalities. They want to work and to do their job well.

Juan the Sailor’s dam, April Bar Juan, had 37 AQHA points in reining and a reining ROM.

Pepper’s dam was a Peppy San Badger and Two Eyed Jack bred mare.

Anything but “stone cold”, Kid is a very friendly, well behaved stallion.
Kid is our out cross stallion. He has very versatile lines and a beautiful personality. He is not related to any of our mares, including our grade mares. This enables us to use his diverse genetics to produce outstanding foals, while not compromising their temperament.
Kid is the son of “Obviously Im Kiddin” who is considered to be “The Modern Halter Horse”. There is nothing but Champions in this pedigree! Kid himself is a Champion. In 2008 he was the Canadian National Champion Weanling and won The Gold Rush Stallion/Gelding Futurity. He also has 6 other halter wins to his name.
Kid is also broke to ride. He has beautiful conformation, a nice hip and strong, sturdy legs. He can be a very versatile sire producing both halter and performance winners! He is Five Panel NN.
