Our Story
A Family Farm
We are Gregory and Heather Eppich. We were married in Salmon, Idaho, where Heather grew up on the family ranch and trained horses, in July of 2016. We own and operate a small organic farm in Handel, Saskatchewan where we raise Hereford/Angus cross cattle and breed horses.
We have been blessed with three little boys: Joseph (April 2017), James (February 2020) and Ian (February 2022).
We were also blessed to have discovered Juan the Sailor and his son, Juan Peppy Sailor, in August of 2017. It wasn’t until 2019 that the first foal that we bred arrived.
You can read more about Juan the Sailor and his accomplishments on his page, but the most important thing for us is that Juan passed his gentle, quiet and loving nature to his son. We are a family farm so our horses have to match our lifestyle. They are smart, quiet, very friendly, and versatile. We strive to raise horses that the whole family can enjoy. Ones that the kids can trail ride on or use in 4H, if the parents haven’t already stolen them to barrel race, rope, or compete on in reining competitions and other show events.
Our broodmares are some of the best around. They are quiet and easy going. They are daughters or granddaughters of some of the greats including: Jaz Poco Goldun Blue, Playgun, Blue Boy Doc, Topsail Cody, Bob Acre Doc, Topsail Whiz, Smart Peppy Lena, Doc OLena, Shining Spark, Docs Hickory, Hollywood Dunit, Zan Parr Bar and more.
Let us help you find that foal that will not only do the job you want it to, but will do it with lots of heart and end up being your best friend. And if the family starts to fight over it, you can always come back for more.
Have a Great Day!
